How usage billing works
Depending on your plan, usage above the included allowances may be billed:
- Bandwidth (egress) — only data downloaded from your bucket is billable. Uploads (ingress) are never charged. Your plan includes a free egress allowance; usage above it is billed per GiB at your plan's rate.
- Disk — plans with an unlimited bucket can be billed for average stored data above the included allowance, per GiB-month. Plans with a fixed quota are not billed for disk — the quota itself is the limit.
The Usage tab shows the running numbers and an estimated amount for the current and previous month. Confirmed overage for a closed month is added to a following service invoice as separate line items.
Quota alerts
If your bucket has a quota, you receive an automatic email when usage crosses 90%. At most one alert is sent per day; a new alert only arms again after usage drops below 85%. To avoid hitting the quota, delete data or upgrade your plan/quota from the Usage tab.
What happens when you cancel
Cancelling the service deletes your bucket and all of its files. This is not recoverable.
- Download everything you want to keep before cancelling.
- Cancelled by mistake? Contact support immediately — the sooner they act, the better the chance your data hasn't been removed yet.
